Yerth Threddle was finally released from its fencing and opened for people to explore yesterday.

It was such a wonderful moment seeing the work finished and set free into the world for people to enjoy, or ponder about. The good weather really made the threads sparkle, but after five weeks without rain I hope the grass gets a good drink soon. Really looking forward to capturing all its seasonal guises in the coming year; autumnal leaves, shiny red winter bark, delicate white spring blossoms.

Thank you to resident Veronica who generously agreed to cut the ribbon after keeping a caring eye on the site for so long.

And a huge thank you to the local community who took time to share their views and ideas with me for their ‘creative identity’.
